AMW Inaugurates 'KDM Motors' Dealership in Hubli

Expands Network in Karnataka
Mumbai: India's third largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer, Asia MotorWorks (AMW) expanded its presence in the important Karnataka market with the opening of its newest dealership, KDM Motors, in Hubli on June 20, 2012.

Stategically located on the National Highway between Hubli and Bangalore, this modern facility offers Sales, Service and Spares (3S) under one roof. It is AMW's fourth dealership in the state of Karnataka with other dealerships located at Bangalore, Hospet and Bijapur. In addition the company has 53 service touch points across the state. The dealership is owned and managed by Mr. Ajay Maranabasari, Managing Director, KDM Motors.

KDM Motors was inaugurated by Mr. A. Rama Subramanian, President, AMW, at a ceremony in Hubli today. It was attended by several prominent guests including Mr. C. M. Udasi, Minister for PWD, Govt. of Karnataka, Mr. Murgesh Nirani, Minister for Large & Medium Scale Industries, Govt. of Karnataka, Dr. Prabhakar Kore Member of Parliament and Chairman, KLE Society, Belgaum, Mr. Basavaraj Horatti - MLC, Ex-Minister, Govt. of Karnataka and Mr. H. K. Patil - Ex-Minister, Govt. of Karnataka.

Commenting on the opening of the new dealership, Mr. A. Rama Subramanian said "We are confident that KDM Motors will strengthen AMW's position in the key Karnataka market. This state of the art facilitymeets AMW's highest standards and will offer our customers a totally modern purchase and ownership experience."

I am confident that the company's world class trucks will prove to be very popular in the Hubli market thanks to their reliability, durability and excellent after-sales support."

This new dealership offers a very modern service facility which can cater to four trucks simultaneously. It also features two additional bays for vehicle inspection and washing.

Wide Product Range

AMW offers trucks ranging from 16 to 49 tons and has pioneered several segments in the Indian CV market. The AMW 49 ton model created the segment and was India's largest tractor trailer at launch. In addition, AMW also created the construction and mining segments in the Indian CV market with its range of tippers.

AMW won the prestigious 'CV Maker of the Year 2012' award from Apollo-CV Magazine. It also claimed the 'Truck of the Year' award from NDTV in January 2008 and the coveted 'CV Innovation of the Year 2009-10' award for its 3123 model. State of the Art Plant at Bhuj

AMW's fully integrated manufacturing facility in Bhuj, Gujarat, has a planned capacity of 50,000 commercial vehicles per annum. It currently employs about 1,200 people and uses state of the art production processes to build world class trucks for the Indian market.
