The most popular AMW Tipper models are the 2518 TP, in both 14 cu.m. and 16 cu.m. variants, and the 2523 TP.Our 3118 TP is also gaining popularity; with stricter enforcement on overloading, the demand for this model is likely to go up.
The most popular applications for AMW Tipper models in the North are in road construction and the transportation of crushed aggregates. AMW tippers are part of prestigious projects such as the Yamuna Expressway, the development of the Karnal-Ludhiana section of National Highway 1 and the development of the road network in Gorakhpur.
AMW's Tipper sales in the Heavy Vehicles segment saw a significant rise in the NCR and Haryana, where its share increased from 27% to 40% in the last six months. In Punjab, its share has held steady at a healthy 45%. A catalyst for this growth has been the increase in demand for AMW Tippers from retail buyers who own between one and five trucks.
The demand from large contractors who undertake infrastructure development projects has also been on the rise. In fact, repeat purchases are at 50%, demonstrating the high levels of customer satisfaction generated by our Tipper models.
The increase in AMW service centres in the NCR and Haryana from 7 to 14 has increased customer confidence and contributed to high up time of these vehicles. This has also helped boost the company's presence in remote areas such as Bhilwara, while expanding the AMW dealer network with the opening of a new dealership in Faridabad recently.

AMW offers trucks ranging from 16 to 49 tons and has pioneered several segments in the Indian CV market. The AMW 49 ton model created the segment and was India's largest tractor trailer at launch. In addition, AMW also created the construction and mining segments in the Indian CV market with its range of tippers.

It also claimed the 'Truck of the Year' award from NDTV in January 2008 and the coveted 'CV Innovation of the Year 2009-10' award for its 3123 model. AMW CV Applications was given the 'Truck Application Builder of the Year - 2010' award for its Tranztar brand of fully built vehicles.
AMW's fully integrated manufacturing facility in Bhuj, Gujarat, has a planned capacity of 50,000 commercial vehicles per annum. It currently employs about 1,200 people and uses state of the art production processes to build world class trucks for the Indian market.
